BURNOUT AND ITS IMPACT ON JOB SATISFACTION AMONG COLLEGE TEACHERS

Abstract

This chapter presents a comprehensive summary of the study, outlines the conclusions drawn from the research findings, and offers recommendations for future research and practice. The study aimed to explore Burnout and its impact on Job satisfaction among college teachers. This study provides valuable insights into the factors affecting college teachers' burnout, depersonalization, personal achievement, and job satisfaction. Key conclusions drawn from the data include: • Burnout and Depersonalization: High levels of burnout are strongly associated with increased depersonalization and decreased job satisfaction, highlighting the need for effective burnout management strategies. • Gender and Personal Achievement: While gender does not significantly impact burnout or job satisfaction, it does influence personal achievement, indicating potential areas for targeted interventions. • Institutional Focus: The predominance of private institution teachers in the sample suggests that findings may be particularly relevant for private colleges, though implications can extend to other types of institutions. Addressing the issues identified in this study through targeted interventions and continued research will contribute to improving the well-being and job satisfaction of college teachers, ultimately benefiting both educators and their institutions.
