dc.description.abstractQuality education is a pre-requisite for national,regional and global development. For delivery o fquality education,we need quality teachers who are committed to teaching and equipped with necessary knowledge, skills and competencies for effective teaching. Problems faced byfemaleteachertraineesareconsideredtobeanimportant characteristic of which can predict the future success or failure of an individual in teaching occupations. The present investigation aims at studying personal, familial, social and perceived professional difficulties of teacher trainees. During the study, a simple random sampling technique is employedforselectingthesample.Sixcolleges of education are selected randomly. The random sample consisted of 240 female teacher trainees and the investigator adopted the descriptive survey method. In the present study, three independent variables (teaching experience, age, qualification) and one dependent variable (problems) were taken into consideration. For research purpose,YouthProblemInventoryTestDevelopedbyDr.(Mrs.)M.Verma(2008)has been used. The investigator employed thepercentage,averagemeanforanalyzingthe data collected during the study. The findings revealed that mostofthefemaleteacher trainees have faced average level personal,familial, socialand perceived professional problems. Few of the female teacher trainees faced high level problems. It shows that there is excessive paper work, lack oftime to prepare plan and execute all the tasks in colleges. It also shows that teacher trainees play many role sat the same time.If these problems are not taken seriously and examined, the education towards the young aspirant, enthusiastic students will naturally decline. The present study tried to find out, not only the problems faced by female teacher trainees, but some of remedial measures to be taken in order to improve quality education for teacher trainees.en_US
